About Me

I'm a 27-year-old fantasy football enthusiast originally from Detroit and now living in Chicago. Yes, I am a Lions fan, and yes it does suck. Why do you think I have so much time to spend on fantasy football? I'm going on my 5th season of fantasy football this year and became the proud owner of some hardware last season. I was also recently hired to be the Senior Writer at FantasyCrowd.com.

08-09 Fantasy Football Year in Review

Ok, so I wanted to jot down some thoughts here while this season was still relatively fresh in my mind. I'm excited to inform everybody that I am now an official fantasy football champion! Congrats to all the other champions out there. I won my first fantasy football championship this year with a thrilling last minute victory. I was actually down a half point with no other players left, but when Mason Crosby's field goal at the end of the Bears vs. Packers Monday night football game was blocked a point was deducted from my opponent's score to give me the victory. I eeked out a victory the week before as well when Brian Westbrook had an off game on Monday night verse the Cleveland Browns. I guess those are the kind of things you need to happen in order to win a championship. Talk about sweating it out! Although it was way closer than I would have preferred, I'll definitely take it, there's nothing like being a champion! Btw, made the playoffs in my other league too, but was taken out by a ridiculously hot Andre Johnson.

That's what fantasy football is all about in my opinion. I like to think that I'm a pretty humble person in real life, but there's just something about fantasy football that brings the trash talker out of me. Of course, I could be humbled very quickly next year if things don't work out so well, but I like to compare my third year in fantasy football to third year receiver's "breakout" seasons. I'm pretty confident that I will give my teams a pretty good chance to succeed from here on out, but just in case, don't worry I won't lay it on that thick. I'm certainly always open to suggestions and advice from others, so bring it on, haha! If you stick around, you might be in for some really useful fantasy football info, but most importantly it's supposed to fun, so I will never forget that and I certainly hope that you won't either.

The Super Bowl was great again this year, casual football fans are probably getting spoiled now thinking every Super Bowl will be like the last two. Congratulations to all the Pittsburgh Steelers fans out there. Arizona Cardinal fans shouldn't feel too bad either, you guys had a very nice season. And for everybody else out there (excluding Lions fans), there will always be next year.
