About Me

I'm a 27-year-old fantasy football enthusiast originally from Detroit and now living in Chicago. Yes, I am a Lions fan, and yes it does suck. Why do you think I have so much time to spend on fantasy football? I'm going on my 5th season of fantasy football this year and became the proud owner of some hardware last season. I was also recently hired to be the Senior Writer at FantasyCrowd.com.

NFL Fantasy Apprentice Week 11

Team #1

QB Drew Brees 25
RB DeAngelo Williams 13.1
WR Randy Moss 9.4

Total= 47.5

Team #2

QB Peyton Manning 15
RB Adrian Peterson 9.8
RB Maurice Jones-Drew 14.4

Total= 39.2

A rather uneventful week saw the Saints and Colts stay undefeated along with a thrilling last-second Lions victory for a battle of the league's two worst teams. The Saints continued to steamroll behind Drew Brees' 3 touchdowns tosses, while the Colts were rather lucky that Joe Flaco threw a red zone interception that cost the Ravens a chance to take advantage of a sub-par 2 interception performance from Peyton Manning.

I had Deangelo Williams fillin for Michael Turner, who may be out another 4 to 6 weeks. Team 1 also got 9.4 points from Randy Moss who caught a touchdown, but only had 34 yards receiving as Wes Welker was Tom Brady's favorite target verse the Jets.

Team 2 got another solid contribution from MJD, but Adrian Peterson and Peyton Manning both had below average weeks. AP's stats suffered because of a great day by Brett Favre who threw for 4 touchdowns.

So it comes down to Peyton vs. Peterson. One of my twitter connections @candacearm helped me out with this decision and reminded me how important Peyton has been to his team this year. He has been a great leader and helped make newbies like Garcon and Collie into solid contributors on an undefeated team in 2009. AP is still the best back in football but he got overshadowed by Favre this week, and in the fantasy apprentice game it only takes one bad week and you can be gone. Adrian Peterson, you're fired.
